i had to interrupt my vacation for a day -- i took the mytilini, an overnight ferry back to athens, ran some errands during the day, left my car behind, and took the same boat back the following night.
it was an exhausting round trip.
this is how the ship looks like pulling into chios harbor -- i don't know if this picture conveys how massive these things are.
