i discovered anthony ayiomamitis' work several years ago and have been an enthusiastic fan ever since, to the point of creating
a dedicated label for posts which feature his pictures. his imagery includes highly challenging objects such as galaxies, nebulas, quasars and black holes... but the ones i love best are the ones that are readily accessible by anyone, in the sense that they are visible with the naked eye, such as shots of the moon and the sun, eclipses and the milky way -- and most especially when they are combined with landmarks of human heritage.
