(2009) ***Two brothers, Brian and Danny along with their girlfriends are traveling through a viral infected world looking for a safe place to ride out the plague. The virus seems to be transferred through bodily fluids. The foursome travel with face masks, rubber gloves and gallons of bleach to disinfect anything they come in contact with. Once infected there is no hope for survival. They encounter a man traveling with his sick daughter and through uncontrollable circumstances wind up traveling with them. With nothing but a duct taped plastic sheet between them and the infected girl the stress mounts.
I wanted to like this film more than I did. The older brother is such an ignorant asshole that he made it hard to like it more. He's really my biggest issue with this film, yet I can kind of understand why he is the way he is. I know I would be freaking out in a world riddled with toxic germs everywhere you go. I also had some issues with the carelessness of these people. Only a thin plastic sheet between life and deadly infection, dipshit brother decides to drive like an asshole almost ripping down the curtain. Also, they all have their masks off. Fuck that! If there was an infected youth in my back seat I'd be wrapped up head to toe taking no chances. It's not like there is a cure, you get it your dead. As survival flicks go, it wasn't bad but I've seen much better.
