(2010) **1/2Dante travels through the nine circles of hell fighting his inner demons come to life. He must rescue Beatrice, his true love, from the deepest sector of hell where Lucifer is holding her captive.
This is another full length animated offshoot film promoting the video game. It was pretty enjoyable, the animation was bold and exciting. There were some twists added to the classic story that worked as well. I would have liked to rate it higher but even with the maturity and edginess of the dialog it still felt a bit like watching a Saturday morning cartoon. As animated horror goes this is not a bad choice to watch but you could do better.
