2SecReview: Priest

2SecReview: another vampire killer film, zero character development, over the top everything from dialogue to music score, a short film stretched long and thin - Glad to have watched this from home - Our pal, Gary did some of the Digital Effects so it was neat to have seen shots before and after.

TRON Legacy R3m1x Album

A few weeks ago, I saw Meat Beat Manifesto perform and after the show, my pal, Cimcie and I were back stage speaking with folks and Zach aka Z-trip mentioned this remix album. Here is the official track listing. I do not see a Z-trip mix listed, however, I am nearly certain there will be single releases with even more versions of each song originally penned by Daft Punk.

I am looking forward to hearing The Glitch Mob's take on Derezzed as I strongly feel they would have been a stronger choice for a band to score the movie soundtrack.

tim burton's fantasy/ horror comedy is one of the most fun and imaginative films of the 80s. a couple of recently deceased ghosts contract the services of a "bio-exorcist" in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of their house. winona ryder stars as the moody teenage daughter who befriends the ghosts and helps them with their problem with the living. the fantastic make-up special effects won an oscar. join us for this special screening below (and above) the stars.

I just saw the film, 9, and it was a 4!

I have just arrived home from my walk from The Arclight Cinemas, where I saw the midnight screening of 9, the new Tim Burton film. I have been excited to see this film since last year, when I first learned about it. It was also on my list of films I have wanted to see in 2009.

I give 9 a 4 or perhaps a 4.5 as a whole. The visuals were certainly worthy of a 9 or even 10, however the story lacks in so many ways that I will NOT go into as I do not want to tell the story. The voice acting was a celebrity cast, which I tend to not really care about either way. Was it because I have seen this story before in other places? Is it because the short story upon which the film is based is richer? Is it because I saw UP yesterday and that film is now in my top films I have ever seen? Could be.

I did enjoy nods to other films, the visuals and such and even though I was not so moved by this film, perhaps you will be and it certainly has fantastic visual and audio effects making it a film you can enjoy in the theatre.

VOTD: 2012 Full Trailer

This looks impressive!

I was hoping to post this yesterday, but here we are today before I start a session. I am eager to see 2012.

I had seen the early sneak preview trailers but this is the full mama!
Some of you know Gary Laurie, who masterminded some of the visual effects on this!

The story may be horrid, but the visuals will be worth it!
